Motion Design by Marina Valentina

Digital+Traditional Illustration and Animation, Storyboarding, Editing, Compositing & Character Animation, at your service.

A collection of work consisting of B-to-B videos, websites and newsletters for The Fiction Tribe, and a few for Hungry Man Productions.

My contributions as a motion designer at FT included sourcing and editing live action stock footage, ideation, storyboarding, illustration, compositing and working with talented directors, designers and producers to create impactful and informative content through video. I was also tasked with finding, booking and directing the voiceover actors for our videos- so fun!!

Digitally Hand Painted Gifs

Made with Procreate, for peace of mind. 2022

Down below are reels of years past, with so, so much more of the creative motion and compositing work I’ve done.

This reel consists of illustrations and Animation done at attn: for Spotify's series Deconstructing, and other freelance from 2016-early 2017. All done in in After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. The other freelance in this reel is designed and animated by me alone, with direction from clients.

2015 Motion Design and Compositing Reel. This reel consists of Compositing, Design, and Animation done primarily at Adapt Media, Ketchum, and Bent Image Labs.

My fourth year student film at CalArts, 2003 (forgive the ancient times resolution). The song is from Z-Rock Hawaii. Created with paper, pencil, Photoshop and After Effects, the story is both a literal depiction of the song, and more than that.

A personal project using After Effects, stop motion, hand drawn animation, as well as Painter, Photoshop and a little still camera with a bad tripod on a stack of books. The music is done by Adam Brody, with samples from Mozart's Magic Flute. The ending will come one day.
